Life expectancy for people living with HIV/AIDS is now longer. For many, regular activities can be maintained with proper treatment and / or with modification of certain habits. For others, the disease evolves with ups and downs, with side effects, alternating between hope and discouragement.
Quality of life for those living with HIV/AIDS is a preoccupation for La Maison du Parc. It is a constant challenge to encourage and support the residents of the hospice, those who have returned home, and all HIV/AIDS sufferers in general. Through the years we have been able to adapt our services and create new projects to meet the changing needs.
For example:
Food Support Project
Meals are prepared, then vaccuum sealed for distribution to low-incomed HIV/AIDS sufferers in precarious health.
