Quite a challenge initiated by La Maison du Parc!

• The challenge; overcoming isolation and non-access to services for people afflicated with HIV/AIDS in Quebec.
  
  
• The challenge; enhancing a partnership between resource groups already implicated in the HIV/AIDS sector in Quebec.
  
  
• The challenge; exporting individual and group interventions thanks to virtual technology.
  

• The challenge; reaching the person afflicted with HIV/AIDS, meeting his or her needs, at a time he or she is in need, where he or she may be and in all confidentiality. That in essence is the HIV/AIDS portal.

With time, HIV/AIDS resource groups have developed from awareness, to information, to support, to housing, to health follow-ups, to accompanying the terminally ill, to crisis management, psychological referrals, legal aid and group formation, etc. However, the link between the resource groups and the persons in need is not always easily available. The portal has been created specifically for the persons most isolated by their disease by offering them the possibility of long distance, confidential interaction with resource groups.
