In this beautifully restored Victorian home located in Montreal, men and women afflicted with HIV/AIDS can stay from a few weeks to a few months. Some, who are terminally ill, seek a presence, accompaniment and assistance on a human scale; and peace to pass away with dignity in familiar surroundings.

Still others are supported when their health wavers, during medical tests or at the start of a new treatment. We help them to regain moral and physical  strength to prepare their social rehabilitation or to augment their capabilities of coping with and controlling their lives with HIV/AIDS. Short-term stays are also available to give one’s personal caregivers a respite.

In this house there is a soul coloured by all those who have stayed here. A soul that is driven by every day gestures, by joy and laughter, by saddness, by discouragement and by hope.

Installations and Services
La Maison du Parc is accessible to people with reduced mobility. We have installed elevators, every room is equipped with an emergency buzzer. All residents have a private furnished room. A central telephone line and internet access are free of charge to residents, although one may, at their expense, install a private phone or internet access in their room.

Support, basic care, assistance with medication, scheduling of medical appointments, active listening, protection of patient rights, crisis management, and most importantly, accompanying the dying are all examples of what we do at La Maison du Parc.  Nutrition, information, awareness and maintaining a secure environment, is also part of our daily routine.
