A stay at La Maison du Parc for someone who is not terminally ill is temporary. It may be to stabilize one’s health or to address a related medical problem. An-important step before returning home is preparing one’s resumption of day-today life and more specificially, life with this disease. This is the social  rehabilitation process.

Satellite Apartments
More than half of those living at La Maison du Parc who later return home need no particular help afterwards. Others, who are more fragile or less stable, need a distant supervision of varying intensity. La Maison du Parc’s satellite apartment program offers such a supervision for those more vulnerable. This program is based on a progressive reduction of our implication and a reorientation towards resource partner relief groups. It is frequently necessary for La Maison du Parc to maintain this program to prevent a state of crisis or of health deterioration.

Transition apartment
For some people, an attempt to live on their own is essential before returning home. The experience can be daunting. La Maison du Parc’s transition apartment program allows such an attempt while maintaining a level of security.

Those supported by the satellite and transition apartments benefit from a rapid re-admission if needed.
